Position overview: We are seeking an individual to assist the President in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of concrete cutting projects, ensuring efficient execution by managing project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, quality control, safety compliance, and customer relations, with the primary goal of completing projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist with the development of detailed project plans, work schedules, and timelines for construction projects, including resource allocation and sequencing of activities.
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily activities on project sites, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards. At times, will require hands on performance of cutting, coring and demolition tasks.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise cutting crews and subcontractors, assigning tasks and ensuring effective communication.
- Material Procurement: Assist with material ordering and inventory management to maintain project timelines and minimize delays.
- Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues throughout the construction process.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations on site, conduct safety training, conduct regular maintenance checks on cutting equipment, and investigate incidents to prevent accidents.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns, providing project updates, and managing client expectations.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor project progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement operational changes to enhance efficiency.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teammates
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Project Manager or Construction Superintendent
